All Materials GKN Sinter Metal Filters produces are made of metal powder or fibers. The raw material is boned by sintering at high Temperature. Because of that special process our material offersnearly 100% effective porosity.

Main advantages of SIKA products

• Shape stability, i.e.self supporting as structural elements even at high pressure difference of the flow medium.
• Good fatigue, impact and shock stress resistance compared to other filter elements(paper, plastic, ceramics, etc.).
• High temperature and thermal shock resistance. Stainless steel filters up to 600°C, and special alloys up to 900°C.
• Chemical stability against acids and (alcalic)solvents
• A wide range of well defined pore size distributions from 0.5μm to 200μm formed by metal powders. In the range of 3μm to 100μm, fiber filters are particularly superior compared to wire mesh elements of corresponding filter grades.
• Good back flush flow and excellent cleaning potential using high pressure-superheated steam, chemicals, or burn-off processes.
